The fact that the battery seems to be fine, but it mysteriously loses power overnight, tells me the battery is shot. Especially if the battery has been fully discharged a bunch of times.
Car batteries aren't designed to be fully discharged. Every time that happens, they lose some life. Of course, that increases the chance that they'll get completely discharged. The lead plates get permanently coated with lead sulfide, and the lack of plate surface destroys the current sourcing-capability of the battery.
Many batteries when they come to the end of their life will hold a charge just fine for a day, but 15 hours later are dead flat. You can charge them back up right away, and they appear to have a good charge, but they're soon gone. If you've had a few full battery discharges, I'd say the battery is gone. I've had new batteries come through defective, and that's why a warranty is good.
