#3 is a biggie!!! Since we don't have kids and we each have a vehicle, you'd be surprised how much of a sales job I had to present to my blushing bride... Her contention was that I already had a cherokee that would go damn near anywhere, why do I need a sports car, and a 12 year old one, at that?
And since the infamouse "But honey, aren't I worth it?" line didn't work this time, I had to prove to her that what I was buying was not only an excellent deal but road worthy as well... (wives, no sense of humor... buy one completely gutted late 60's muscle car and a truck load of parts and let it sit in the garage because you're too busy to put it back together again, and you're labeled for life.... sheesh).
What's on the outside, can normally be repaired fairly easily... under the skin is where it gets a bit on the expensive side.
