I agree with burlyb on the steering wheel. SRS problems are often the wire spool located in the wheel hub. If a shop puts a new spool in without centering the spool and wheel, the thin wire will break as soon as you turn the wheel to one lock or the other. There are Momo replacements but I recall adaptors are needed to get the horn button to work. Easier to swap wheels on pre SRS 900's.
Re the locks, I would first check the 3 wire connector ahead of the drivers side door jamb as well as the wiring. These wires get soaked and the insulation can rot, casuing shorts.
Pull the connector apart and check for continuity/no continuity with a VOM between the center and alternate outer contacts as you turn the key back and forth. I hope that's clear?
If OK you can rule out the driver's door switch. Next go into the passenger side footwell and unscrew the balck air distribution duct and bend it down(it will not break). On top of the duct you will find the controller that burlyb referred to. Pull the cover off and look for connection problems to the circuit board. If bad, you can resolder or put in regular jumper wiries. Or just get a new one or maybe a good used one from Jim at sobstory(site sponsor)800-583-0370. The Bentley manual(Jim has these too) has another test procedure where you momentarily ground controller contacts to see if the passenger and rear hatch lock motors work. If you don't have a manual, see if the townsendimports.com tech docs have the troubleshoot explained.
