look under FAQ's, great articles about vacuum Posted by Saabu [Email] (#1133) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabu) on Tue, 5 Oct 2004 07:05:20 In Reply to: Turbo bypass valve failure?, Bill S., Tue, 5 Oct 2004 03:29:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
leaks, etc.
also consider replacing the NTC sensor (on intake manifold near head) or AKA coolant temperature sensor.
the other thing is if the cruise control brake switch is faulty it will create a vacuum leak when you step on the brake. Related, check all those vacuum hoses down by the clutch and brake pedals (and running to the boost gauge and the line that goes into the left fender well that runs up under the fuse box to the cruise vacuum pump) there as they get old (they are i believe about 6 mmm ID so a bit bigger than the usual hoses on these cars). my hose was all cracked and leaking where it exits the interior and goes into the fender well.
