Post-install thoughts: Koni + Intrax (long)

A few weeks ago I installed Koni adjustable shocks with a set of Intrax springs. I also picked up rear poly-spacers from SAS.
My goal was to achieve more compliant ride quality on this car (1990 SPG) with the set of 16" Aeros. I went from a stock setup using the original SPG springs. The Konis are set to full-soft.
After a few weeks of driving, I'm experiencing much better cornering ability, more stability at high speeds and in crosswinds, and a lower ride (though subtle).
Ride quality is only minimally better. There's a slight improvement in harshness over road irregularities and expansion joints, a more controlled bump that feels less thrashy than before. However the feel is still quite far from what one would consider comfortable.
At this point I'm curious if there's something else that might be amiss, or if this is as good as it gets. I still love the car! But I'm realizing now that these suspensions are just not built for moderate comfort on terrible city roads. I've read numerous posts here on this setup - some imply that their ride is downright cushy - so either they are doing something differently, or I've missed something!
