I dunno... I'd think you snip off the bottom of the clutch supply fitting and then flush a bunch of brake fluid through it that way.
88 is a great year for auto-to-manual, ain't it? Best thing you could do to your car.
I had a thin to moderate coating of gunk in the bottom of my res until this year- I recommend you bleed the brakes through sometime in the near future, and bleed the clutch fluid at least twice. Oftentimes all the crap in the entire hydraulic system will reside in the clutch line, and it looked like I was bleeding motor oil out of my slave. To combat this, I now bleed the clutch yearly, with the rest of the brake hydraulics every other year.
Bad news- I had to replace my master cylinder this summer because of the contaminants in it- blew a seal, brake pedal sinks slowly to floor.
Good news- it only took me an hour. The new one looks very nice.
Just put it on a list of stuff to do, and when it fails a month before you wer going to replace it anyway (my case) just get it over with. I was pretty happy during my transmission operation that the brake hydraulic system didn't get opened up so I did not have to worry about anything except the clutch.
I hesitate to use any solvents in the reservoir itself- probably harmless but why risk it?
