On one of the two C900s we have, I just changed out the rinse oil from the engine app & the tranny oil from the past year's use (first fill after A-Rx tranny app; approx 8k mi). The engine oil (Dlevac 1300 Super 15W-40) had been in for maybe 3k+ mi & didn't look too bad. I refilled with M1 5W-40 & a 2-1/2oz "maintenance dose" of A-Rx.
The tranny oil (60% D1300S 15W-40, 40% Saab 5W-30) looked pretty good too, but the plug had a LOT more powder on the magnet than I was expecting! I think the HDMO continued the cleaning process started by A-Rx. I refilled the case with Shell Rotella T Syn 5W-40 this time (mid-winter shifting was wa-a-a-ay too stiff last year). Everything was great for the test drive, with smooth shifts, quicker acceleration & higher/longer sustained engine revs on deceleration. The first sub-freezing startup will be tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that one!
