AMM adjustment - SWEDECAR?

Greetings,
Someone directed me to some information that you passed on in a post on this board a while back relating to adjusting the AMM resistance, and I would appreciate it if you would elucidate a few points for me.
I too installed a new APC and larger injectors and need to readjust the AMM. The tip you gave said to test the voltage coming out of the test plug near the power steering fluid reservoir, and to adjust the AMM resistance until the voltage fluctuates between 0 and 12 VDC. Unfortunately I never see this behaviour throughout pretty much the whole range (from about 100 ohms to over 500 ohms). Is there something specific that I am missing? What exactly does that voltage represent? I do notice that the voltage is near 0 VDC (and stable) when the car is just warming up, and when it warms up, it changes to 13 VDC and just stays there. Does this represent the switch from using the AMM to the O2 sensor?
Thanks very much for all your contributions!
Vincent.
