Raising roof while driving

I have found out that it is possible to lower or raise the roof on my saab convert from 88 while driving.
All I have to do is to pull the handbrake till the handbrake lamps ligths.
Then off course I am driving with the handbrake pulled but I dont think that makes any damage because it is not pulled very hard.
I then lower and raise the roof at low speeds. Not over 15 miles pr hour.
This is perfect to give yourself some attention from people.
My question is now:
Can this in any way damage the roof.
