Sometimes things are simple. Go from the beginning and work to the end, easy things first progressing to more complicated.
Is the battery connected with tight leads on & no corrosion?
Did a wire fall off the distributer (don't laugh, this happened to me in traffic, a tow truck pulled over licking hi chops, and I openned the hood, reconnected the wire and disappeared faster than he could say "highway robbery)
Did you check all the fuses? I mean each and every one, as some have duel purposes that are not labeled.
did you bypass the fuel pump relay with a paper clip to see if it is the culprit (trick used for emergency repair by my brother-in-law 3 times).
Are you getting spark?
Is the wire to the coil attached?
Are the cap and rotor OK? Are they wet inside? (Then dry them out and get a new cap and rotor ASAP)
Are you wires all firmly attached to the distributer and the plugs.
Is the plug to the hall sensor seated properly and not broken.
Is your ground wire behind the radiator in good shape or do you need a re-grounding.
Is the engine properly grounded? (problem on my old SPG that took 2 minutes to fix.
Is the ECU functioning properly?
