My convertible is an '87...my Saab Guard module is under my rear seat. I believe in your model year the rear seat just pulls up and comes off (mine is screwed down). There is at least one inline fuse in my Saabguard. My Saabguard doesn't work or at least I've never tried it although the power "on" LED is lit up so I've never bothered with it. You could try removing that fuse and see what happens.
If you have not already done so, with the ignition key off and removed, use an electrical meter that can sense amperage draw (most simple meters can), get to your fuse box on top of the left driver's wheel well and test every single fuse to see if there is a current (amperage) being drawn. There should not be. I had the same problem on my convertible and traced it to the fog light circuit...I don't use the fog lights anyway so I removed the fog light relay and presto, no more dead battery. If I ever have the time and/or energy I'll dig into it and see what is really causing the problem on that circuit.
Good luck.
