Recently drove 350 miles this weekend (as I do every weekend) and the alternator is buzzing and vibrating. There is also a strong electrical odor. I think the bearing on the alternator are seizing or something. Also I'm not sure what happens when the brushes go bad...so not sure if they are going either.
So... do I rebuild or find one through a sponsor here and ship the old for a core??
Also is this tough to replace ... I'm hoping that its pretty straight forward.
Thanks for any input.
