Don't have to pull the leather off, but unbolting the seat & disconnecting the wires would be in order. Easiest to pull the seat out & bring into the nice, warm house. When you flip it over, you'll see the 2 black plastic sheaths coming out of both sides of the motor near the front of the bottom seat cushion. Inside those sheaths is a flexible drive cables with square tips on either end. These cables run to gear mechanisms on both sides of the seat back. When one of the sheaths breaks, the bare cable becomes exposed between the the 2 ends of the break, pulling the square drive tip out of the gear mechanism at the back of the seat. When actuated, one side drives, the other slips, causing the seat back to twist. You can repair with the hoe method, or buy new sheaths for $40 each, & much more labor to replace.
