Hi, Well I did a little more investigating with the help of the saabsite techs. They are great. Their thought was to check 2 things in this order. 1st check the rotor button resistance. You must check it while it is hot as if you check it when the motor is cold resistance will be fine. If resisitance is around 110 ohms, replace. If that is not it check the coil. They said many times it is just the rotor button (10 dollar part) In my case my 85 will be close to impossible to find a new distributor for, so replacing it or the timing sensor would be really tough. Good thing I have a spare spg motor complete with turbo and dist. hope this info helps on yours.
