See my earlier post about Cyberdyne digital guages. Make sure your oil pressure sender and it's adapter have the right threads. 14 mm is what my car used, and NOT tapered 14 mm as some parts sellers claim! My car is an '83. The volt meter is a piece of cake as you can tap into any 12 volt battery switched circuit. I didn't do the water temperature gauge so I can't comment.
I ran all of my wires through a firewall grommet just above and to the left of the grommet where the hood release cable goes through. I found this very easy, as I just pushed the wires through and they were easy to grab inside the engine compartment. This was also the shortest run to the oil filter base where that fitting is located.
