That's always the thing that makes the difference, eh? If you have the money, get new inner drivers from one of the sponsors like Sobstory or eEuroparts. With new O-rings and seals, it's a bit over $200. It may save you some time, even though it won't save you any money.
The only problem that I ran across when I did the inner drivers in my car (other than some of the bolts requiring a few U-joints to get to) was that one of the drivers would not press out of the carrier. I ended up having to use a carrier from a parts car and kept the same set of shims on that side. (That makes for some iffy ring gear alignment, but the transmission is still going almost 3 years later, with no significant change in noise or shifting, much to my surprise.)
