Forget the hair-dryer -- use a mini space heater (about 6" square). Just set it on the floor and let it go all night. Make sure that there is plenty of open space in front of it. I've used this to dry out the back seat carpet that was soaked after the quarter-panel drain plugged up. Also works great in the trunk to break the terrarium-like condensation cycle during the cold winter.
