The connector is just under where the rubber intake duct connects to the intake manifold.
The interesting thing is that wires on the other side of the connector are in good shape. It must be only some of the wiring that has defective insulation. But, is it always the same subset of wiring that's defective?
I guess it's time to check junk yards for some later models with intact wiring harnesses.
