Fixed washer switch (long)

Since I've owned my 92 900S (about 4 years), I've always had to pull the washer switch stalk hard to get the washers to work. Well, today in 15º F weather, the switch finally wouldn't work. I was going to order a new one from eeuroparts, but I forgot until about 5 PM. Since I wouldn't get a new one from them until Tuesday at the earliest, I decided to check the archives here for quick fixes. I found enough here to have the confidence that an easy fix was possible. Here are the details:
After removing the switch, the washer contacts are clearly visible through a slot in the side of the switch. Although it appeared that contact was OK, it also looked like the spring contacts were slightly bowed away from the opposing contact surface. To bend them back, I took the switch apart. This is easy because the the plastic portion is only pressed on to 4 pins of the metal part. Take care when you take it apart because there are 2 springs and triangular contacts pieces that will just fall out. A slight bending with needle nose pliers adjusted the contacts for the washer. Replace the springs and triangular contacts and press the plastic part back onto the metal.
After replacing the switch in the car, it's as good as new. Total repair time was about 20 minutes.
Thanks to all the previous posters who also were able to fix this switch.
