Heat is your best choice as you've got something to hold on to with channel locks/vice grips once the bolt is warmed up. If you don't already know, you will have to get that bolt loose as it will cause the alternator to vibrate badly under acceleration.
I also damaged one of the mounting bolts (middle of bracket top bolt) and have had problems with vibration even with the alternator belts snug. Mine sheared off when I was removing the bracket to replace the bushings. For me, to do the job right, I will have to drill or tap the hole to get the remnants of the bolt out. As the car is running well now after filing down the face of the bracket that was rubbing the block (causing the vibration), I'll wait to do this job when either I have the engine out, or some other part like the A/C Compressor dies as I'll need to remove the compressor to get at the hole for tapping.
Good luck and try your best not to shear off the rest of that bolt...
