Cat is not the prob. based on the fact that it is only 2 years old. But it could be a prob. based on the fact that it is a catco high flow 3" baby. The smog guy informed me also that if it was the cat. HC and CO would be way up as well, and that is not the prob. I made the mistake(I think) of going from a very low temp switch where the fans would come on at a little above a third on the temp guage to one that has the fans coming on at over half way on the guage. I did this for the smog check the first time thinking that I would not have a NOX pro. but a high HC and CO. WRONG! I also put high octane gas in as well which is the wrong thing to do as well if you have a NOX prob.I think, as well as the smog guy that the combustion chamber is getting way to hot, thus increasing NOX at 15 mph where there is more load on the engine then 25 mph. Put it in third gear and bring it up to 25 on dyno and it passes within 10 seconds. 15 mph and you see the nox oscillating from around 700 up to 1100. I'm back to stock inj and fpr as well.
