soak that nut with a penetrant like PB Blaster or Kroil for a day or so before you try to loosen it.

If you're in a hurry or if soaking it like I mentioned above doesn't let it turn under an amount of torque that doesn't give you a feeling of confidence that the mounting won't break off you can drill the very edge of where the nut meets the threads with a small (1/16" or so) drill bit. Just put a nick in it with the drill bit so you can see some bare metal. Then give it a shot with the penetrant. Getting past the rust line makes it a lot easier for the penetrant to get into the threads. I wouldn't tell anybody about doing this unless they were desperate to get the job done. It worked for me, but it's one of those things that may or may not work for somebody else.

I broke one a while ago before I learned that trick. Not fun to scrounge up an A-arm on short notice.

The nut is an oddball size - IIRC it takes something like a 18-mm socket. But it's threaded like one that takes a 16 or 17-mm socket.

While you're down there, take a good look at the rear leg of the A-arm for a crack within an inch or so of the pivot rod. There's a tendency for some of htem to crack there. (BTDT, too.)
