I had that happen with all of them. I got a long punch, thin enough to go through the hole. Being careful to keep it straight and not scratch the bore, I used that to push the piston out.
On the ones I took apart, there was a ring of varnish around the large end of the bore that made it hard to push the piston out. The one thing that I didn't try was to use breke cleaner to try to dissolve that varnish. Maybe I'll try that on the next one to see how it works.
