the backs get alot more moisture and so rust up much more. i use a snipe bar on a good strong ratchet just to get the bolt going. becuase of the brake line you need to use an extension so that makes it a bit harder to get direct downward pressure on the wrench. on the drivers side you are pushing down to loosen (from behind the car), and pass. side you are lifting up (you could lay on your back under the car and use a foot to push on the ratchet, getting a helper to keep the wrench square on the bolt).
obviously an impact wrench would make a world of difference..
