Tie Rod End - Was not too hard to do.

It was the first time I replaced tie rod ends, so I'll give my report.
The previous owner had the ball joints replace by a shop about three years ago. They look newish, and the paper work was there. Nevertheless, the passanger tire wore down on the outside, and the steering wheel was off center. Also, there was some diminishment of steering control where the road is lumpy.
I had just bought almost new tires, and the rims off of a 9000 three days ago. So it was time to do the job. I read up on tie rod replacement on the internet, especially this thread. And although I know that many mechanics use a big hammer, I bought a "pitman" arm puller for $7.99 at China Bazaar on Mission Street.
The pitman arm puller works better when I left the bolt on the tie rod end.
Once you start to replace the tie rod ends, it is obvious what to do. One bolt. Lossen the lock nut. Count the number of turns when the tie rod comes off. Install the new tie rod the same number of turn. Bolt it up. Take it to the shop for an alignment.
So, bottom line to me was, this isn't a job to be afraid of.
Did the tie rod ends last night, it was quick and easy.
