I can't speak for 3" but I just installed my 2.5" stainless exhaust that I ordered from SaabSavior.com. It makes an awesome sound...the Magnaflow muffler that comes w/ it is very deep... The only complaints that I have about the exhaust is that I had to cut it to fit....I'm lucky I didn't try to do it on my own. I had my Step-Fater help me and I'm glad I did...We had to cut like 3" off the center pipe, because it was too long, also had to cut the flange that mates up to the turbo-elbow...because it was smaller than the stock flange...and the hangers....ugh...the only hanger that we left in place was the one on the muffler, but we had to take the torches to it and bend it 90 degrees. If we had left it alone the muffler would have dragged on the ground. The other hangers we had to cut off and weld back into the right spots....again they were too long and generally in the wrong places. Other than that..I love it... I'm pushing atleast 18psi and it makes some great sounds...I really love it when I'm coasting down hill, in gear, and it snaps and crackles...;)
