other than the tie rod separator that my local auto parts store did not have. I would have to drive a distance to the next one to see if they have one, and unfortunately, they would be closed by the time I got there. My spare time is minimal, so I need to do as much as I can today/tonight.
Am I missing something else? What else was presented to me?
I am not going to replace my knuckle just because I cannot remove the tie rod end. I am not going to have it towed to an indy. I do not have access to an air hammer.
The ball joints popped out fine on their own from the banging I've done to remove the tie rod end. It's just the tie rod end giving me the hassle.
I posed the question about applying heat for those that have tried it before and to provide me with any forewarnings. I appreciate the advice you offered, but as I explained, I do not have the luxury of having more than one auto parts store close by to shop around and find a "good" tie rod separator. As for catalog/online shopping/ordering, I don't have the time to wait for it to be delivered.
