it's a major pita. you need a spot weld cutter drill bit and that's only for the accessible ones. lots of trouble at the door seam and you have to pull all the bits on the engine side of the fender. it sucks. there are repair kits that some shops do where the inner and outer fenders are cut off (3" or so in from the lip) and a new lip is welded on. With weld-thru primer and an experienced shop this repair can last 5 years or so. i have seen full fenders available new on e bay but you'd still have to get your old one off without destroying anything.
