Jordan,
Hope all's well!
The APC systems are very adequate for reducing charge pressures under detonation. When under detonation, the knock sensor sends it's signal to the APC control unit. The APC control unit then initiates the three way solenoid (BCV on the radiator support) to cycle which should reduce charge pressures. If the system is failing to reduce pressures under confirmed detonaton/knock, this could indicate that a mechanical limitation is not allowing for the BCV to properly tailor these pressures. A check of both the BCV and/or wastgate actuator movement could be a first priority.
Best of luck and regards,
GaryK at SWEDISH DYNAMICS,INC.
