So I set the valve timing based on the line on the crankcase being aligned w/TDC (cyl 1) - Upon installation of the clutch cover, I see that the mark I previously used to set ignition timing is about 5 degrees retarded versus the line on the crank case!
So, should I set ignition timing based on the line on the crankcase, or the line on the plastic clutch cover? My first thought is to etch a new mark on the clutch cover to line up with the crankcase.
Thanks in advance (16 degrees in advance! ;)
