You guys just gotta look for different O2-sensor sockets.
Mine doesn't have a SLOT for the wire, it has an internal groove, that doesn't go thru the wall of the socket. So it doesn't spread open.
You fold the wire down alongside the sensor body, so it lays in that groove as you put the socket over the top.
I've had it for years, & honestly don't remember where I bought it. It was probably some kinda AutoZone-type place, since I wasn't even thinking of this as an important feature.
Better yet, on the C900 you can fit the wire thru the opening of a 22mm box wrench. Many times that's the easiest way.
