The 93-94 pump is a little bit different in that the inner pump gear have three drive tangs instead of one, but the two are interchangable.

If you buy a new pump for an 85 and up 16V engine you will get the one with three drive tabs.

I don't know the whole story of your car or at what part of the restart you are at.

Keep in mind that if you have just put together the engine and try to get the oil pressure up with just cranking over the engine it might not work because of the air inside the pump and in the oil pick up tube.

In worst case scenario, did you remember to install the oil pick up tube?
Did the two dowel pins get installed in pump housing? If not, they need to be there to center the oil pump gears.

If all the bearings and surfaces are lubricated with an engine assembly lube and you KNOW that the oil pick up tube is installed, it might work out if you start the engine. The higher initial rpm from the engine running compared to just cranking over will get rid of the air traps and let the oil flow.

Another way is to remove the oil filter and crank the car over again, that will keep the main part of the engine oiling system out of the loop and make it easier for the pump to pick up the oil and send it to oil filter adapter.

A third way for really stubborn engines is to over fill the engine with 2-3 quarts and let the car sit over night and then crank it over with the ignition system disconnected (you don't want the car to start with overfilled crank case). The higher level of oil will find its way into the oil pump by itself and prime the pump.
