That's difficult to say what someone else would charge to repair it. It seems alot of bodymen are afraid of rust issues, and for good reason. One small rust spot poking thru the undercoating can turn into a 6"x12" hole once you cut out all the hidden rust. I'll easily have 10 hours labor repairing the driver side by the time I get the patch welded in later today. What's 10 hours labor worth? $200-$400 ? I don't have any cost in the way of supplies, since I get everything I need from work.:>)

I replaced the whole front floorboard on a C-900 a few months ago > prolly have 50-60 labor in it. That type of repair could easily be $1000-$1500 if I would do it again.

All's it takes is tools. Grinders, welder, and in my case air....lots of air. My cut-off wheel sucks my 60 gallon tank dry in no time, and it needs alot of air to be able to spin fast enough to cut.

I was hoping pictures of the procedure would help enough that others could attempt the repair on their own.

Oh! It also takes "no fear" to cut a big hole in your car, and hope that you can patch it back together.
