The drill presses that got successively cheaper till they weren't worth buying, as one maker kept cutting quality to undercut the other guy?
The batteries that aren't worth putting into a flashlight, or a beeper?
The rechargeable batteries in my Ryobi drill kit that even brand new wouldn't hold a charge for beans, and failed entirely at less than a year old?
The clothes that aren't the size they say they are because someone is cheating, to save on fabric?
The Kyocera cell phone batteries that were dying and even burning up, that were being made by a Chinese subcontractor not making them to Kyocera spec? (recent news story)
The brake pad sets that don't fit even when caliper is fully depressed, evidently made to thicker than spec?
IF they're made to the specs of a strict company who's buying and reselling them, can be top notch and dirt cheap. Once the guard is down, watch out, seems to be what's going on.
