Not again!
For So Cal, I would rule out the tripletreds, as they are good rain tires & it never rains in southern california (that's what the old song says)
Just because a tire has 80,ooo treadwear doesn't necesarily means it's a rough rider. i put Toyo 800's on my wife's Dodge and they are cushy luxury touring tires (100,000 mile) I would not put 800's on my Saab, but maybe Proxes. I recently was looking at some Kumho's at Tire Rack, but they said ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR SNOW (i live in NJ) but they sounded great for dry pavement. I like the Falken tires ( i just like asking for them) Put 4 Falken tires on my falken car! They seem to be about good for 30,000 miles. I would think you may be best served by the Pirelli's. They seem to have a very aggressive pattern.
Which speed rating are you looking for H or V ?
