The list with the one price of $2800 was all done at once when I got the car from my sister. She had to get an automatic due to a hand injury. She cried when she turned the car over to me. Then when we had dinner a few months later she made me open and shut the door so she could hear the sound of the door shutting!

The car was leaking oil and Brian at Trident made the recommendations for the work he did. The a/c really put some money on it b/c it was converted.

The itemized list is all stuff that has gone wrong since the overhaul. When I drove home from Maine the clutch was acting strange. It lost pressure and I had to pump it the last 30 miles to make it home. Jebba tried a few things. Finally had to go to Mecca in Allston to straighten it out.

My mechanic is a good guy. He doesn't always charge me labor, or he charges me half price on labor. But he does get Saab parts. I got the set of rear lenses from Trident and I thought $75 was for used lenses! Jebba's been welding my exhaust rather than replacing it. I'd hate to find out he's screwing me. Everyone recommends him. I'm his only Saab customer and he's always networking to find out more about Saabs.

I'm going to buy the book you recommended and I'm going to see if I can find some used parts. I will use the BB in the future. I may also park it for a while so I can save up some money for upkeep. I can put away the money I save on insurance and gas. I'm just really broke.
