This car isn't even at 74,000 miles yet.
I'm having a VERY bad week.
1. I had to have the slave cylinder replaced because it dropped all of the hydraulic fluid at the movie theater parking lot...leaving me stranded. God Bless AAA!
2. I need a new catalytic converter...old one fell off--rusted to death.
New probs:
1. Ok at first the car would be sticky...I'd hit the gas and it would just not go very fast, then all of a sudden it would pick up and go. Then while going about 65mph (on a very busy highway) the car would lose power, I'd hit the gas & it would be fine. Then a couple of days ago it did the same thing going 40 mph..it started to loose power..kind of stalling...hitting the gas didn't work had to shift down & hit the gas to get it to go again. So now the Check Enging light is on..not flashing, just on. My hubby who likes to work on cars, but is hesitant to work on this one...looked through our Bentley manual & found out where the fuel pump is & said that it's squealing. Anyone got any clue as to what's wrong? Is it the fuel pump itself? We got a price quote for it $230 (special order apparently).
2nd prob: The RADIO....it turns on just fine, but the volume doesn't work...I turn it all of the way up and can just barely hear the radio..same with the cassettes.
I really appreciate any advice...aside from get a new car..which is what everyone I know who has never owned a foreign car before says to me.
