Rear hub/wheel bearing assemblies on ABS cars ('90 onward) are different. The labor estimate is a bit steep since all you usually have to do is put a puller on it and it just pops off, but the part price is reasonable (site sponsors charge $110). Keep in mind wheel bearings on older european cars last 150-200k without much exertion. My '88 has her originals still at 196k, I'm beginning to suspect some drag because she doesn't coast as well as my 1992 S. Different bearings, different tires, and maybe a little less wind drag on the convertible, but drag is drag. I suspect they are wearing out.
Anyway, next time you find a mechanic going crazy with an impact wrench on your lugs, bring them the old bearing and kindly ask them to torque them to 85 foot pounds or so.
