OK, just had my indy flush and refil the cooling system. He thoroughly cleaned it out and refilled with Mercedes. I requested a thermostat change but he said it was not needed. the flush was thorough as I tried to find remnants of the "green stuff" and none was found. I drove the car in over 95 degree F for two and a half days, got warm but not HOT! Last night it was just below orange virtually the whole time headed home. I turned on the heater to bleed heat. Upon arrival at the house I popped the hood, NOTHING in the expansion tank. I vented the tank and coolant rushed in so I resealed the cap. I let it cool, revisiting in an hour. Again, nothing in the expansion tank so I added about 1/2 gal and bled the system. Started the car and circulated the coolant and fans came on and the whole works. No evidence of spewing water so where did it go? Unless the indy forgot to open the heater valve when he refilled the system and when that circuit somehow got filled the coolant became low and that was my problem. Any thoughts?
