I had the same problem with my dodge truck. I thought it might be a bad fuel pump at first because that is what the symptoms seemed like to me. If it is the crankshaft position sensor it will do as you described. Let me assure you, you will get stuck again. And probably have to pay for another tow. The reason that your car was able to start is because it rolled and your crank probably changed position. The part for my truck cost $50 from the dealer. It was a labor-intensive job to get at it and change it though. I have no idea where the sensor is on a Saab, most of what you're paying is probably labor. Perhaps another person on this BB could tell you how big a deal it is to change yourself.
