Hi all,
Yesterday I was happily driving home from work, stopped at a light, popped my '88 900 Turbo into first and the clutch stayed down. Took her out of gear and tried again (slowly moving at this point, luckily down a small hill). I got her into 1st, but as I was releasing the clutch, the car lurched forward (not violently) but had NO pickup at all. Clutch is still down and not popping up. Luckily I coasted into a parking spot. At this point, the car starting smoking (white smoke, no smell). Popped the hood--checked the coolant reservior and it was really low. Could not see anything leaking on the ground, but today there were a couple of drops. I didn't have time to check the drops this morning, but will later today.
Does anyone have a clue as to what could be the problem?
I've recently had the top of the brake fluid reservior off. Could that have caused a problem?
