Well, this afternoon I did all that, pulled both calipers back off, cleaned and lubed the pins and other sliding surfaces, left the piston adjuster backed all the way out and the handbrake cables disconnected.
The guide pins did have an accumulation of hard crud where they sit in the rubber bushings. The odd thing I noticed when I checked was that there was a fair amount of pressure, and the flow didn't want to stop when I opened the bleeders.
Since this seems to be occurring on BOTH rears, and the rears are controlled by a single ABS valve, I'm wondering if the ABS valve is sticking open and allowing the accululator to keep pressure on the calipers.
After a 30 mile ride tonight the problem is still occurring.
I'm thinking as a test tomorrow AM I'm going to relieve the pressure by pumping the brakes 30 or so times and see if they free up. If so I guess I'll look at the valve body. Probably another complete flush first since it's much easier.
