Hi-I am in the process of replacing the inner driver on my '89 900s 5-sp to fix a buzz. Inner driver cup itself okay, but found a bad differential bearing (if my description is bad, it is the one which runs through the inner driver shaft in the inner driver housing) and replaced it. I also bought a new differential carrier bearing with the mindset that I'm already in there, why not replace it, but now I'm not sure about putting it in. The race to the differential carrier bearing came out with the inner driver housing and looked in good shape. Is the differential carrier bearing something I can simply pull out and replace, or is it a more involved job? I don't know if it is good or bad and now assume that the problem was the differential bearing. Maybe I should leave well enough alone and put it back together as is? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
