I used permatex ultra gey RTV sealant on the rear engine plate seal (the plate that installs on the rear of the engine, fits over the crankshaft and has the discontinued gasket between the plate and engine). based on RS advice, which is what saab recommends, i should have used loctite 518 anaerobic.
RS gave me good info, but i want to know whether i should remove the ultra grey and use the loctite 518. i presume yes, but want to be sure.
engine is out of the car and wouldn't be too hard and i don't think i'll hurt the main seal doing so.
