Some things I should clarify that I did not in posts from the last couple of days . When I hooked up the DVM , which I accidentally set to ohms , the car was running , warmed up and the black signal wire , which I tapped along with the other DVM lead to ground , was still connected to the ECU . So the consensus seems to be no damage to the O2 with a slight possibility of damage to the ECU . Would a correct voltage swing from the O2 signal wire prove it is fine ? What kind of damage might happen to the ECU and how would this be manifested or detected as damage ? Once again , my DVM runs on 2 1.5v camera type batteries . I also need to know if the slightly different O2 # 13942 signal wire , which I spliced to the OEM plugs , would present any problem . I described these differences in my first post from 2 or 3 days ago . Your help is greatly appreciated . Thank you .
