worst case ,you got a dead battery and you alternator is blown or not working, i had this same prob. but it seems their is a small 24 gauge wire that is attached to the positive post of your alternator, on my car the crimp that held the wire on broke, it may have been when i was cleaning it or just vibration, however it broke and the alternator stoped charging the battery, i thought at the time i had a dead celled battery, so i riped it out of the car and had it tested, come to find it was fine just low charge, bad news for me that points to the alternator, when i got back to my car and instaled the battery i looked at the alternator, from just looking i couldnt tell the wire was snaped it was when i touched it i noticed it moved, after applying the wire the battery never went dead, you might want to take a look if this sounds like your prob.
