I've had two and never saw a single cel. Culprits of stall on hot start are often dirty tb or the plate on the fuel distributor if you pull the bellows off. if they're dirty at all, clean them. the butterfly valve in the tb can get gummed up too at the hinge points so if you spray some carb cleaner in there it will help clean them out. makes more of a difference than you might think. also, you mentioned adjusting your idle - did you do it with the screw on the throttle plate or the 13mm(iirc) bolt on top of the TB? the correct way is to do it with the bolt, then lock it in place with the nut snugged up against the tb. then check timing. if no good there, look for vacuum leaks. on a car this old it could be any one or combination of any of those, plus maybe some more i can't think of off the top of my head. good luck,
eric
