I bought it 6 (or was it 7) yrs ago with 113k mi for $3k & ended up putting another $2k into it the 1st yr due to the PO's lack of maintenance. Yeah, it's a 16 yr old car now, but it runs, drives & handles better than when I bought it. If the one you found really is in perfect condition, I wouldn't hesitate spending the same $3k today. And I wouldn't relegate it to winters only!
As No Snaab said, it takes following a sound maintenance schedule to get a car over 300k mi. That's nearly 20k mi/yr for your single PO. You don't get that far by waiting for things to break before you do anything about them (like my car's PO did). And that kind of high mileage is generally considered less abusive to a car's drivetrain than "only church on Sundays" mileage. I can see potential problems with tranny & front suspension. Maybe radiator & steering components, too. On the plus side, the base model has none of the "bells & whistles" to repair after 16 yrs of age & use.
