Hey RayF,
Volvo's are of the same ethnic background and the cupholder theory seems to apply.
An easy Senior Project - Looky, looky, snow falling off my coat and what the heck is causing my ignition switch to freeze up (along with the interior light switch to go intermittent). All concluded with a lots of text and a pictoral spread of the owner blowing down a piece of hose, therefore solving a short term problem which returns like the seasons in the Northeast.
Maybe someone can solve the cracked dash mystery...not a myth, but a fact.

PS - All my Classic 900's have cracked dashes and when someone brags they don't have one, it is just a matter of time before they are graced with the luxury of having one...funny how mother nature works.
