If it is only one clunk per reverse turn it is usually the wheel bearing moving slightly between the two snap rings holding it in place and it's a trade mark of the 900 model.
Back in the days when the model was new and under warranty, Saab had shims available to place between the bearing and snapring to minimize the movement but nowadays people just live with it as one of Saabs quirkiness.
